I mentioned in a previous post I haven’t been out recently for any new pics, mostly as a result of being sick as all get out for the past week or so. Having been confined to the house and my coughing fits, body pains and constant smashing headaches left me just a shred of creativity to play with so, what’s one to do??

Finding Kansas

The Wizard Of Oz has to be one of my all time fav’s so here is my interpretation of Miss Dorothy and the yellow brick road..

So, I have finally gotten a winner from the poll I posted a while back. I have been trying to decide what to do for a new project. There were several ideas to play with including Emotions, Virtues, Color etc..

And the winner is: “The Seven Deadly Sins”
I am pretty excited about this and am dying to get started. Will need to take a couple days and think out a strategy for this as I am already sure the subject matter is harder to capture than it sounds. I am initially thinking of posting one image a week for the next seven weeks with some insightful words, quotes or a story to go along with it.

Thank you to those of you that took the time to vote! It’s much appreciated. :)

No new images this week (hoping to get out tomorrow for a photo-walk) so I have been spending some time thinking about new content ideas and dreaming about winning the lottery so I can buy every piece of camera gear on my wishlist, buy a trip around the world and go shoot in all of the places I would give a kidney to go visit.. So while I am in dreamland here are a few of the places that I must visit (and eventually will), a photo travel bucket list if you will..

1. New Zealand
2. The Andes
3. Patagonia
4. Austrian Alps
5. Banff & Lake Louise, Alberta
6. Easter Island
7. Scotland
8. Alaska

I am sure I could go on and on and on, but that would be pretty redundant now wouldn’t it??

WordPress is the absolute bestest for blogging, I love it, so much so that I will likely move the blog to a paid hosting for more features and the ability to use some additional add ons in the near future.  Although I love the blogging features, if I could make one request from the dev team with the  it would be the ability to make individual posts to pages.  The pages feature is awesome in itself for static content but I think they would be even better if you could post directly to a particular page if so desired.  Just a thought.  So speaking of pages I have finally gotten around to updating them with the fresh stuff..  About, The Kids, Landscapes and what used to be The City is now HDR.  These (Minus the About page) are serving as placeholders, I have decided to treat them as a place to post my personal best, images that I am proud of for one reason or another so check them out if you have a few minutes!

Spring Dreams

Last of the shots from Beavers Bend this past weekend. Taken on the banks of the Mountain Fork River. Something about the red just did it for me. I am most definitely going to take the big kids back here in the spring and do a two day canoe trip down the river! Cant wait!!

Shadow Cast

Another shot from this weekend at Beavers Bend. This one is on the Mountain Fork River just north of the crossing on 259A. The reflections and shadows in the shot don’t do the scene justice, definitely something that needs to be experienced live. The cold tones and clarity in the water here make for some truly spectacular sites.
