Hill Country in HDR

A few HDR images from this weekend in Leakey, this should wrap up the Leakey posts for a bit (minus the super awesome pics of Mrs. Catie that I will be working on tomorrow). The trip was fantastic and between Catie and I we managed to take just over 1000 pics in three days. Wow! That’s like using up 1/10 of the shutter life on the camera, whoops… Anyway, these were all multi-expsosure images (ranging from 3 to 15 exposures) that were developed in lightroom, merged and tone mapped in photomatix.

My personal favorite.

Clear springs everywhere, this one spills into a 4ft deep hole, it doesn’t look 4ft deep does it?

An experiment with creative (and ghetto) lighting from this past weekend. Trying to create the spooky house effect with a 25w red bulb and a small red led light. The bulb was angled out to the porch to bounce off the roof with the led in the window for the glow effect..

At the east side of the river crossing, just down the hill from the house. Looking south into the valley. This is by far one of my fave’s from this weekends trip. One of the most majestic views I have had the opportunity to see in a while..
