A very subtle rainbow, not a whole lot to look at or very dramatic either but enticing none the less. Immediately, this brings me back to the Wizard of Oz and Judy Garland singing “Somewhere over the Rainbow”. One of my truly favorite movies from when I was a little kid which somehow always seems to bring on a calming effect…

Since I’m on that thought, here is another fave.. More of a mix of two of my favorite things really. There’s nothing like listening to Clapton, especially when he’s singing a classic..

The cattle drive sculpture at Pioneer Plaza in Dallas. I just couldn’t resist.. I guess this would be the equivalent of seeing the Mayflower if you were in Mass. Love the history!

So we took a short trip down the street to see the Old Alton Bridge (aka Goatmans Bridge). A really creepy story goes along with this bridge. Anyway, it was to hot to live this afternoon while we were out here but managed to pull off a few great shots of Catie and the boys. This is an HDR taken from the north side of the bridge. Five exposure blend and tone mapped in Photomatix..

A great find while out doing meals on wheels eatlier today. 3 Exposure HDR with photomatix and Gimp. Not sure if this is a chevy or not but I suspect it is..

The Arcadia theatre in Temple, closed just over 30 years ago in 1978. I think the history here is awesome. I would love to have been able to see the inside of this place in all it’s splendour in it’s original state when it was built in 1928..
